En una gran celebracion se abrió de forma oficial la atraccion de La Sirenita, despues de dos decadas desde que se concibio el proyecto. Con la presencia de Alan Menken, compositor de la musica y canciones de la pelicula, Pat Carroll, la voz de Ursula y tambien de Jodi Benson, voz de Ariel que interpreto “Part of your World”, Tom Staggs, director de Walt Disney Parks y Resorts,, se dió partida de nacimiento a esta atracción.

The Little Mermadid  llegara tambien a Fantasyland en Magic Kingdom como parte de la expansion y de forma mas espectacular pues estara dentro del castillo del Principe Eric, que sera reproducido de forma fiel al del filme.
